A conversation about 99 Years, How Maine Became the Whitest State, a podcast that documents the current Portland Charter Commission in the full context of Maine's History. This event features the podcast host, writer, and producer Sam James, in a panel discussion with producer Flo Edwards, Portland City Counselor Victoria Pelletier, Portland Charter Chair Michael Kebede, and in collaboration with Signature Soul (Signature MiMi + Marco Soulo).

WHAT: ‘99 Years’ podcast launch event; Sam James (w/Flo Edwards) gives a history of Portland City Charter, with interviews of current Charter Commission members; documenting the 2022 Portland Charter Commission process ahead of the consequential November 2022 vote. Excerpts of the podcast and associated media will be available for listening and viewing before the event begins.
